These fuses are recommended for AC power distribution system mains, feeders and branch circuits having inductive loads (motors, transformers) or non-inductive loads (lighting, heating) where the available short circuit current does not exceed 200000 RMS symmetrical amps. These "dual element, time delay" fuses have minimum industry standard time delay of 10 sec at 5 times the fuse rating (8 sec minimum for 250 V, 30 A and less). The time delay characteristics of these fuses typically allows them to be sized closer to the running ampacity of inductive loads to reduce cost and provide improved overcurrent protection. These fuses will override normal equipment current surges to reduce unnecessary fuse openings. They are the most popular fuses used in the industry and the most economical for most applications, especially motors and transformers. They have moderate current limitation.

Edison Time Delay Fuse, Series: ECSR, 600 V, 45 A, Class: RK5, 200 kA at 600 VAC Interrupt, 10 sec at 500 % Response, Dual Element, Indicators: Non-Indicating, Ferrule Connection, Holder Mounting, Fiberglass Body, 5-1/2 in L, 1.06 in Dia

  • True dual element construction allows sizing of 125% FLA for motor backup protection
  • Superior overload and cycling capabilities
  • Current limiting provides component short circuit protection
  • Provides motor overload, ground fault and short circuit protection
  • Helps protect motors against burnout from overloads
  • Helps protect motors against burnout from single phasing on three-phase systems
  • Simplifies and improves blackout prevention
  • Dual element fuses can be applied in circuits subject to temporary motor overloads and surge currents to provide both high performance, short circuit and overload protection
  • The overload element provides protection against low level overcurrent of overloads and will hold an overload which is five times greater than the amp rating of the fuse for a minimum of ten sec
  • Permits the use of smaller and less costly switches
  • Provides a higher degree of short-circuit protection (greater current limitation) in circuits in which surge currents or temporary overloads occur
  • Gives motor running back up protection to motors without extra costs
