Harris® Brazing Alloy, 0.05 x 0.125 in Diameter, 20 in Length, 1460 deg F Liquid, 1310 deg F Solid deg C, Composition: 92 to 94% Copper, 6 to 8% Phosphorus
- This low cost alloy is suitable for most copper-to-copper or brass joints where close tolerance can be maintained
- Harris zero is an economical alloy designed for brazing copper to copper connections
- This alloy flows quickly at brazing temperature so requires close joint tolerance, less than 0.005 in, is a frequent choice for copper brazing
- Harris zero is also a suitable choice for brazing brass
- In this application operators should take care to avoid over heating the brass and use Harris Stay Silv white brazing flux
- Harris zero is not recommended for brazing steel or other ferrous base metals
